IntegriCulture Inc. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yuki Hanyu) announced action plans at a side event hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) at the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021 (hosted by the Japanese government) held on Tuesday, 7th and Wednesday, 8th December, 2021. We aim to build a resilient and sustainable food system with our proprietary cell culture technology, CulNet system\u2122. We strive to achieve SDGs Goal 2 \"ZERO HUNGER\" of the 17 goals set by the United Nations, which is deeply related to our corporate vision \" Happiness for All, by Cellular Agriculture\".<\/p>\n\n\n

Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021<\/strong>
It is an international conference that promotes global efforts to improve nutrition related matters. The host country of the Olympic and Paralympic Games leads the N4G Summit, and this Tokyo N4G Summit, hosted by the Government of Japan, will take place as the third N4G following the conference in London, England (2013) and in Rio, Brazil(2016). A wide range of stakeholders such as national authorities, international organizations, academic institutions, civil society, and private sectors will participate. The Summit will include thematic discussions on health, food, resilience, finance and accountability, and aims to lead global agendas for improving malnutrition for reacting to global measures as well as by compiling financial and policy commitments in the field of nutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) Side Event<\/strong>
MAFF hosted and introduced Japan\u2019s unique efforts with N4G focus areas, \u201cFood: Building food systems that promote healthy diets and nutrition,\u201d in order to contribute to sustainable development in Japanese agriculture and food industries. The Japanese government identified five areas that are critical to achieving the global target and ending malnutrition. Total of 63 entities from public and business sectors gathered together to announce their commitments and action plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Health: Making nutrition integral to Universal Health Coverage (UHC)<\/li>
  2. Food: Building food systems that promote healthy and nutrition<\/li>
  3. Resilience: Addressing malnutrition effectively in fragile and conflict-affected contexts<\/li>
  4. Data: Promoting data-driven accountability<\/li>
  5. Financing: Ensuring financing to improve nutrition<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
